NEW YORK, June 21 (UPI) -- Katie Couric, the multimillion-dollar CBS anchorwoman, is in trouble with New York state over a $210.41 tax bill, a spokesman said.
Couric allegedly owes the money from 2003, the New York Daily News reported. A spokesman told the newspaper that the state Division of Taxation sent bills to an address where Couric does not live.
"I'm sure this will be handled promptly if it hasn't been already," Matthew Hiltzik said.
As a final step, the state sent Couric a tax warrant -- to the same wrong address.
Hiltzik said that Couric is on vacation.
