"He stepped up, because he is hoping to turn his life around," the entertainment news Web site quoted Royce's attorney Terry Marshall as saying.

Royce acknowledged he committed five home-invasion robberies in 2005.

He broke into Josh and Yessica Holloway's home in Oahu in October of that year, held the couple at gunpoint and demanded cash, credit cards and jewelry before driving off in the actor's car.

Royce was arrested about a week later after breaking into another house, E! Online said.
