Prison inmate suing over '50 Cent' film

NEW YORK, May 18 (UPI) -- The film, "The Infamous Times of the Original 50 Cent," misrepresents one of the real-life characters it features, a New York prison inmate's lawsuit alleges.

practices the lifestyle of violence, narcotics and weapons," the New York Post said Sunday.

Hinton is serving time for convictions of attempted murder as well as drugs and weapons possession, the Post said.

The lawsuit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court targets Czar Entertainment and the other forces that created the film, the Post said.

"Infamous" told the story of a notorious New York criminal who had the moniker 50 Cent and later became the inspiration for the popular rapper 50 Cent.
