NEW YORK, May 5 (UPI) -- Hollywood actor Terrence Howard says he will return this week to the New York stage revival of "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof," co-starring James Earl Jones.

Howard, who has been promoting his new movie "Iron Man," is to return to the Tennessee Williams play Tuesday.

"I'm enjoying working with James and all them," Howard told reporters in New York. "(But) these six-day weeks, eight shows a week, that's not good for the actor's spirit or the creative nature. But I do it because I signed up for it."

Howard said the second act of the play is particularly challenging.

"I've seen some actors (fake their way) through that second act," he said. "They don't really allow themselves to be affected by the words. ... This is an emotional breakdown for Brick. ... I've seen every actor get up there and not one tear comes from them. I can't stop crying once that begins. ... I'll never need therapy again in my life, and I've got 56 more shows to do. But what we've accomplished, Tennessee would be proud. ... That's probably the most beautiful experience I've ever had as an actor."
