The movie, which is also showing on conventional screens, is to be released in IMAX theaters internationally starting next week.

"'Shine a Light has brought fans who grew up loving the Stones to IMAX theaters, and the film played especially well on both coasts," IMAX Co-Chairmen and Co-CEOs Richard L. Gelfond and Bradley J. Wechsler said in a statement. "The positive reviews lead us to believe it will show strong legs throughout its IMAX run in the coming weeks, months and years."

"This film received an A+ rating from Cinema Score exit surveys, and we expect the enthusiastic moviegoer reactions to drive positive word of mouth," added Greg Foster, Chairman and President of IMAX Filmed Entertainment. "Martin Scorsese, along with Paramount Classics, Shangri-La Entertainment and Concert Productions International have made a terrific movie which is ideally suited for IMAX and we are so pleased to be able to give audiences a front row ticket to the Stones, the world's greatest rock 'n' roll band."
