Cincinnati celebrates Randy Jackson Day

CINCINNATI, March 1 (UPI) -- "American Idol" judge Randy Jackson was in Cincinnati this week to take part in a Randy Jackson Day celebration with scores of "Idol" fans.

Jackson, who is diabetic, spoke to an audience at City Hall about heart health, and brought a message of hope for Cincinnati singers who have their hearts set on an "Idol" bid, The Cincinnati Enquirer said Saturday.

"Cincinnati is definitely on the radar (for 'Idol' auditions). We might venture here," the 51-year-old TV personality said.

"We always go to an East Coast city, a West Coast city, a Midwest city and a couple of Southern cities. We've done Detroit, Chicago and Cleveland. If we come back to Ohio, this has got to be the city," Jackson added.

The Enquirer said Jackson's appearance was intended to promote the Web site of the American Heart Association.
