NEW YORK, Feb. 29 (UPI) -- Principal photography on the film "Gigantic," starring Paul Dano, Zooey Deschanel, John Goodman and Jane Alexander, is set to begin in New York City.
The official start date is Monday, representatives for the film said Friday.
Produced jointly by Mindy Goldberg of Epoch Films and Christine Vachon of Killer Films, the movie will be helmed by first-time feature director Matt Aselton.
The film is described as a comedy about "a single man and mattress store salesman attempting to adopt a new baby from China while negotiating the possibility of a new relationship."
"We are excited to make this film with Lexicon/Machine Made with such an amazing cast and crew. The financiers and cast have all been very supportive of the material and we are delighted that we are producing the film together," Goldberg and Vachon said in a joint statement.
