Obama tribute video gets 6 million views

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 19 (UPI) -- A video by Will.i.am and George Pajon, Jr., in support of U.S. presidential hopeful Barack Obama has been viewed an estimated 6 million times.

Directed by Jesse Dylan, the "Yes We Can" video was released last week and can be viewed on http://www.dipdive.com/; http://www.yeswecansong.com/ and http://www.youtube.com/

The song's lyrics come from the speech Obama delivered the eve of the New Hampshire primary, with music created by Black Eyed Peas members Will.i.am and Pajon, Jr.

The video and song feature a slew of celebrities, including John Legend, Kate Walsh, Aisha Tyler, Amber Valletta, Taryn Manning, Common, Scarlett Johansson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Herbie Hancock, Nick Cannon, Amber Valletta, Eric Balfour, Esthero,Tatyana Ali and Tracee Ellis Ross, said a news release from Helen Yu, a Los Angeles entertainment attorney who has worked with the Black Eyed Peas and Pajon, Jr. for the past decade.

"The outcome of the last two elections has saddened me," Will.i.am said on his blog. "And then came New Hampshire ... and I was captivated ... inspired ... . I reflected on my life and the blessings I have and the people who fought for me to have these rights and blessings."
