Gallagher, Appleton marry in London

LONDON, Feb. 15 (UPI) -- British rock star Liam Gallagher reportedly married Nicole Appleton, the Canadian-born mother of his 6-year-old son, Gene, in London.

Gallagher is the frontman for Oasis and his new bride is a singer with All Saints.

The couple, who have been together eight years, married in a low-key ceremony Thursday at London's Westminster Register Office, People.com reported Friday.

Gallagher was previously married to Patsy Kensit, with whom he has a son, Lennon. Appleton was at one time engaged to British singer Robbie Williams, the magazine said.
