Adams, Chenoweth to sing at Oscars

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Feb. 14 (UPI) -- Hollywood actress Amy Adams has signed on to sing "Happy Working Song" from her blockbuster film "Enchanted" on the upcoming Academy Awards show.

Oscars telecast producer Gil Cates and Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President Sid Ganis also announced Thursday that Kristin Chenoweth and Marlon Saunders are slated to perform "That's How You Know," while Jon McLaughlin will sing "So Close" -- both of which are from "Enchanted," as well -- on the star-studded awards presentation.

In addition, Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova are to perform their song, "Falling Slowly," from the motion picture "Once," and Jamia Simone Nash will perform "Raise It Up," from "August Rush," with the IMPACT Repertory Theatre of Harlem.

Cates and Ganis also said writers Hal Kanter, Buz Kohan, Jon Macks and Bruce Vilanch are set to return to the Oscar telecast team, while host Jon Stewart is expected to bring on several other writers to work on the show.

The awards presentation is to take place Feb. 24 at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood.
