Quaid says newborn twins are 'healthy'

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Feb. 10 (UPI) -- Hollywood actor Dennis Quaid says his newborn twins, who were temporarily hospitalized last year, are now "really healthy."

During a news event last week in Santa Monica, Calif., the "Flight of the Phoenix" star said his family had recovered from last year's scare when twins Zoe and Boone were given the wrong medicine, People magazine reported Saturday.

"The kids are fantastic and really healthy and happy kids," Quaid said Friday.

The 53-year-old actor, who previously had a son with his ex-wife, actress Meg Ryan, said being a father has been easier the second time around.

"Well, I don't know if it's better but it's a lot easier," he said. "It's easier in the sense that ... when the first one comes along you worry about everything. The second ones come along, 'Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah that's fine, seen that, done that,' ... You're a little more relaxed about it. But with two, you need another arm."
