Lufti accused of drugging Spears

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 5 (UPI) -- Britney Spears' mother claims her daughter's friend, Sam Lutfi, has been drugging the U.S. pop star and preventing her from using the phone.

ABC News said Lynne Spears' allegations were made in a restraining order against Lufti, the details of which were released by a Los Angeles court Tuesday.

Lynne Spears said Lufti, who is sometimes described in the media as the singer's manager, "essentially moved into Britney's home and has purported to take control of her life, home and finances" since he met her a few months ago.

Britney's mother also accused Lufti in court papers of cutting her daughter's home phone line and hiding her cell phone chargers.

"He claims to control everything," she said.

According to ABC News, Lynne Spears also stated Lutfi boasted about how he grinds up Britney's medication, including the prescription drugs Risperdol and Seroquel, which are used to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, and "puts them in her food."

"He told me that if he weren't in the house to give Britney her medicine, she would kill herself. Then he said to me, 'If you try to get rid of me, she'll be dead and I'll piss on her grave," Lynne Spears claimed.
