LOS ANGELES, Jan. 20 (UPI) -- A lawsuit against Sean "Diddy" Combs has been bolstered by four witnesses who allegedly saw the music mogul commit assault in Los Angeles last year.
The four new witnesses all allege they saw Combs physically attack real-estate agent Gerard Rechnitzer at a Los Angeles party following last year's Academy Awards show, the New York Daily News reported Sunday.
While Combs has not been the target of any criminal charges from the incident, Rechnitzer has since sued the "Making the Band" star.
Witness Michael Sherman alleges he saw Diddy punch the 27-year-old agent during the celebration last February at the Roosevelt Hotel.
"All of a sudden, (Diddy) hit him. And there was a taxi behind Gerard. Gerard got knocked into the taxi," Sherman alleged.
The other witnesses offered similar accounts of the incident and their testimonies should help bolster Rechnitzer's civil suit, the Daily News reported.
Combs' attorney has called the suit "completely baseless" and said the singer is not legally responsible for the incident.
