Paparazzi stalk alleged Uma stalker

NEW YORK, Jan. 10 (UPI) -- The man accused of stalking Hollywood movie star Uma Thurman reportedly begged police to shoo away paparazzi following him after a Manhattan court hearing.

The New York Post said Jordan Jackson, 35, was heard saying: "Officer, can you help me? These paparazzi are following me."

The officer reportedly chuckled and said there was nothing he could do, leaving Jackson to hide out in a Starbucks bathroom to avoid the horde of photographers.

Jackson's trial is set to begin Feb. 5. He is charged with three misdemeanors -- two counts of aggravated harassment, and stalking.

Thurman, star of "Pulp Fiction" and "Kill Bill," will likely take the stand and testify how Jackson terrorized her with his alleged relentless attention for two years, the Post said.
