'National Treasure' pulling in a fortune

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 6 (UPI) -- "National Treasure: Book of Secrets" was No. 1 in U.S. theaters for the third straight weekend, estimated ticket sales showed Sunday.

The Nicolas Cage adventure thriller raked in an estimated $20.23 million, bringing its total to slightly more than $171 million, Box Office Mojo reported.

"I Am Legend," moved up from third to the No. 2 spot with $16.3 million in estimated ticket sales, while "Juno" climbed from fifth to No. 3 with $16.23 million.

The partially animated "Alvin and the Chipmunks" slipped from second to No. 4 at $16 million, while a new movie, "One Missed Call," a horror flick starring Shannyn Sossamon and Edward Burns, popped in at No. 5 with $13.53 million in ticket sales.

Rounding out the Top 10 were "Charlie Wilson's War," $8.18 million; "P.S. I Love You," $8.01 million; "The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep," $6.3 million; "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street," $5.4 million; and "Atonement," a war romance drama based on the Ian McEwan novel that climbed from 14th place with $5.12 million in its fifth week in theaters.

Falling out of the top tier were "Aliens Vs. Predator -- Requiem" and "Enchanted."
