Kidman won't play 'Lady from Shanghai'

NEW YORK, Nov. 26 (UPI) -- Australian actress Nicole Kidman will not star in a planned remake of Orson Welles' 1948 thriller, "The Lady from Shanghai."

Asked about reports she is considering a role in Wong Kar Wai's remake, Kidman told reporters in New York: "I'm not willing to go and live in another country like that for a year right now. I'm just recently married (to country music star Keith Urban) so that is my priority. So, I am not going to be going off and doing 'The Lady from Shanghai.' It's just not right for my life right now."
