WELLINGTON, New Zealand, Nov. 25 (UPI) -- Rock singer Ozzy Osbourne has signed on to perform at next year's Rock2Wgtn music festival in Wellington, New Zealand.
The Dominion Post reported in its Saturday edition that the 58-year-old rocker will take part in the annual festival at Westpac Stadium next Easter along with the U.S. rock group Kiss.
After gaining international notoriety with the heavy rock group Black Sabbath, the British singer enjoyed a successful solo career before making a foray into television with a reality series about his family life.
The Dominion Post said that through it all, alcoholism has been a factor in Osbourne's life, a problem he discussed at length in a previous interview.
"It wasn't my plan to get up in the morning and do something stupid. But put a bottle of cognac down me and I'll do something stupid," Osbourne said of his problems with alcohol.
