NEW YORK, Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Some young collaborators made a big impact on British rock group Duran Duran's latest music.
For its 13th album, "Red Carpet Massacre," Duran Duran recorded songs with pop star Justin Timberlake and his producer Timbaland and did most of the album with Timbaland associate Nate "Danjahands" Hills. Bassist John Taylor says the band "benefited in so many ways from working with these guys.
"They really, really gave us a serious kick up the ...," Taylor said. "They're very fast, which is what you need because you kind of get a little set in your ways. We're very pleased with the results."
Timberlake co-wrote and performed on the album's first single, "Falling Down."
Duran Duran is wrapping up a Broadway residency, which had to be relocated from the Ethel Barrymore Theatre to Manhattan's Roseland Ballroom due to the stagehands' strike. The group is to perform Wednesday at National Down Syndrome Society's Annual Gala & Auction in New York.
