NEW YORK, Nov. 8 (UPI) -- Rosie O'Donnell won't be starring in a new MSNBC nightly talk show because she wants too much money, the Los Angeles Times reported Thursday.
Talks between the former moderator of "The View" and MSNBC ended this week.
Someone close to the discussions told the Times O'Donnell is said to have asked for a paycheck more appropriate for a broadcast network than a cable news operation.
The MSNBC gig would have marked O'Donnell's full-time return to television after she quit "The View" in April following a heated on-air argument with conservative panelist Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
In a blog post titled "the show that never was," O'Donnell wrote: "msnbc one hour live following keith olbermann we were close to a deal almost done i let it slip in miami causing panic on the studio end well what can u do 2day there is no deal poof my career as a pundit is over b4 it began just as well i figure everything happens for a reason bashert -- as we say and on we go."
