CHICAGO, Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Hollywood actor Shia LaBeouf was polite and well-behaved during his recent arrest for trespassing at a Windy City Walgreens, police told the Chicago Tribune.
LaBeouf, 21, was arrested at 2:25 a.m. Sunday after he refused to leave the 24-hour drug store when asked to do so several times by a security guard.
Maura Daley, spokeswoman for the trendy Underground nightclub, said the "Disturbia" and "Transformers" actor left the club at about 2 a.m., but declined to offer any other details, other than to say, "His unrelated incident is very unfortunate, and we wish Mr. LaBeouf all the best."
"The report does not indicate that he was with a group. (It) appears that he was alone," said Chicago police spokeswoman Monique Bond. "(There is) no indication of damaging property or interfering with other customers."
Near North District Capt. Randall Zawis told the newspaper LaBeouf was well-mannered and polite during the arrest.
"Sometimes, people see the error of their ways and come around," Zawis said. "I think he opted for that."
LaBeouf was in Chicago to work on his new movie, "Eagle Eye," which was slated to begin shooting Tuesday.
