Seinfeld touts 'Bee Movie'

NEW YORK, Oct. 29 (UPI) -- Comedian Jerry Seinfeld says his new animated film, "Bee Movie," in some ways reflects his idea of what it is like to live in New York City.

Seinfeld wrote, produced and even lent his voice to a character in the film, which opens in the United States Friday.

"It's about the juxtaposition of bee culture alongside human culture and the two crashing into each other," Seinfeld told the New York Daily News, "which is the underlying theme of New York living."

In the movie, the bees of New Hive City have pretty much everything people do.

"But their world is a little more perfect. Their cars run on honey and don't pollute, they don't take vacations because they're so happy in their jobs. It's human culture a couple of millennia down the road," Seinfeld told the newspaper.
