Wilson moving on after suicide attempt

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 27 (UPI) -- Hollywood star Owen Wilson has given his first entertainment interview since trying to commit suicide in August at his Santa Monica, Calif., home.

Wilson, who has asked the media not to push him on his suicide attempt, gave an interview to Wes Anderson -- his longtime collaborator and the director of his latest film, "The Darjeeling Limited."

During the conversation, Wilson and Anderson talked about an incident during filming in India, when Wilson was trapped by a group of monkeys, People magazine reported Saturday.

"At first you think, gosh, monkeys, that's so kind of incredible," Wilson said. "But they didn't have your best interests at heart. They weren't these adorable little creatures. ... They want to replace you."

Anderson was at Wilson's side when the actor made his first public appearance following his suicide attempt, People said.
