LOS ANGELES, Oct. 12 (UPI) -- Hollywood actress Rose McGowan and filmmaker Robert Rodridguez are engaged, People.com reported.
The couple worked together on the 2006 film "Planet Terror," which was part of Rodriguez's blood-soaked, "Grindhouse" double-feature collaboration with Quentin Tarantino.
"(Robert's) my best friend," McGowan told People last June. "We instantly became really good friends."
Engagement rumors have been rampant in recent months as the pair attended Hollywood events together and McGowan was spotted wearing a large diamond ring on her left ring finger.
Best-known for her role on the TV series, "Charmed," McGowan was previously engaged to shock rocker Marilyn Manson.
Rodriguez is divorced from producer Elizabeth Avellan, the mother of his five children. The couple, who were married in 1990, announced in April 2006 their plans to separate.
A representative for McGowan declined to comment on her reported engagement.
Calls to Rodriguez's spokesperson weren't immediately returned, People.com said.
