LOS ANGELES, Oct. 10 (UPI) -- A lawyer for Michelle Rodriguez says the actress will serve six months in the Los Angeles County jail for violating her probation.
Rodriguez, best-known for her short-lived role on television's "Lost," was on probation for several offenses, including drunken driving and hit and run.
Court officials said Rodriguez "admitted violating her probation by failing to provide proof of completion of her community service and for consuming alcohol three times while wearing an alcohol monitoring device," TMZ.com reported Wednesday.
The judge overseeing the case also mandated Rodriguez not be released to "work furlough or electronic monitoring and is not to be granted early release."
The actress was also ordered to complete 30 days of CalTrans work, picking up trash on Los Angeles roadways.
Rodriguez, who appeared in court Wednesday, is slated to report to jail by Dec. 24.
Shawn Chapman Holley, her attorney, told TMZ.com Rodriguez has completed almost three full days of CalTrans cleanup work.
