Noth plays down 'Sex' wedding rumors

NEW YORK, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Hollywood actor Chris Noth says fans shouldn't believe everything they read when it comes to plot points in his upcoming film, "Sex and the City: The Movie."

Photos of character Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, wearing a wedding dress have been making the rounds, prompting bloggers, fans and even some journalists to declare that Carrie was finally getting hitched.

But Noth, who played Mr. Big, Carrie's commitment-phobic, on-off beau on the series and in the film, told Access Hollywood, "They're already making wrong observations based on a piece that actually isn't what they think it is. As soon as you start thinking what Page Six says is true, you should go the opposite direction.

"It's safe to say anything is possible and anything you read in the papers, take with a healthy, healthy dose of skepticism," Noth added.

The actor said interest in the film from fans has been "to say the least, (crazy.)"

"They are coming out in droves, which could be good or bad. I don’t know … When I’m on ('Law & Order',) it’s like a couple of winos maybe -- 'What are you shooting? Oh, 'Law & Order?' Yeah, we know.'"
