New reality show looks for smart models

NEW YORK, Sept. 27 (UPI) -- A new VH1 reality show challenges male and female contestants to compete for the title "America's Most Smartest Model."

Billed as a comedic competition show, the series will be moderated by fashionista Mary Alice Stephenson and former presidential speech-writer Ben Stein.

It is to premiere Monday on VH1.com, nearly a week before it airs on VH1.

The cable television station said the goal of the show is to find out if smart models exist.

Throughout the series, 16 models -- eight men and eight women -- who think they could be the smartest in the United States, will live together as they compete for the title, a $100,000 prize and a gig modeling in an ad campaign for Extreme Style by V05.

In every episode, the models will face challenges that put both their overall intelligence and their beauty to the test, VH1 said.
