NEW YORK, Sept. 21 (UPI) -- The Weinstein Co. says it has acquired the U.S. rights to the thriller "Walk All Over Me" from IndustryWorks Distribution.
In the film, Leelee Sobieski, a Golden Globe-nominated actress who has appeared in the films "Joan of Arc" and "Eyes Wide Shut," plays a small-town girl who gets more than she bargains for by assuming the identity of her dominatrix roommate Celene (played by Tricia Helfer of TV’s "Battlestar Galactica") to pay the bills.
Directed and co-written by Robert Cuffley, "Walk All Over Me" recently premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, where it received critical acclaim from viewers and film industry insiders.
TWC said it plans to distribute the movie on DVD through Genius Products, its exclusive home video distributor.
