Stage calls TV star Parker back

NEW YORK, Sept. 14 (UPI) -- Mary-Louise Parker, star of the hit TV series "Weeds," plans to appear early next year in Sarah Ruhl’s off-Broadway comedy, "Dead Man's Cell Phone."

The Tony Award-winning star of "Proof," who has also headlined New York productions of "Reckless" and "Prelude to a Kiss," will play an empathetic museum worker who finds herself sucked into a dead stranger’s bizarre life when she picks up a ringing phone, Playbill.com said Friday.
