LAS VEGAS, Sept. 8 (UPI) -- Pop singer Britney Spears arrived in Las Vegas this week to prepare for her appearance on this weekend's MTV Video Music Awards.
People magazine said Saturday the "Toxic" star has already begun practicing for her appearance on Sunday's awards show and at least one source said it will be an event worth watching.
"She looks great," the source said. "She's going to blow people away."
But prior to her rehearsal with illusionist Criss Angel Friday, Spears was temporarily trapped in the friendly skies after the landing of her Las Vegas flight was delayed.
Ultimately the flight was allowed to land and the pop star was able to check into the Palms Casino Resort a bit later than planned.
People said Spears' two children, Jayden James and Sean Preston, are spending the weekend with their father, singer Kevin Federline.
