LOS ANGELES , Aug. 20 (UPI) -- Kevin Federline, Britney Spears’ ex-husband, has landed a recurring role on the U.S. television drama, “One Tree Hill."
Federline is set to play a "cocky, enigmatic frontman" for a rock band in a multi-episode arc during the popular CW show’s upcoming fifth season, People.com reported Monday.
The 29-year-old erstwhile back-up dancer and wannabe rapper also guest-starred on an episode of "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" last year, playing a young thug named Cole Tritt.
Federline wore a pig mask for the role and was a part of the episode that earned "CSI" an Emmy nomination for outstanding non-prosthetic makeup this year, People.com noted.
His former companion, Shar Jackson, with whom he has two children, also is doing a guest stint on a CW show; she will play a young mom on an episode of "Everybody Hates Chris" this fall.
