Monaco's prince visits Siberian region

MOSCOW, Aug. 16 (UPI) -- Monaco's Prince Albert II will hunt Siberian stag and fish in areas of Russia's Siberian region of Irkutsk, the regional governor's office said Thursday.

The prince, known to enjoy extreme sports, will spend two days near Irkutsk after leaving the Tuva Republic near the Mongolian border, RIA Novosti reported.

In Tuva, Prince Albert II and Russian President Vladimir Putin bunked in a traditional Tuvan nomad tent at the Por-Bazhyn fortress with archaeological researchers and rafted 30 miles down the Yenissei River.

The prince's itinerary also includes visits to Yakutia and the Kamchatka Peninsula.
