K-Fed's lawyers serve third subpoena

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 15 (UPI) -- Kevin Federline's lawyers served another subpoena on an ex-member of U.S. singer Britney Spears' team, requiring her to testify in the couple's custody case.

Served with papers Tuesday was Shannon Funk, who was Spears assistant for less than a month before being fired after a disastrous cover shoot with OK! magazine, E! News reported Wednesday.

Funk is the third former member of Spears' payroll to have been subpoenaed.

A source close to the Federline told E! News he is considering whether to serve Spears' parents to testify.

Lawyers for Spears and Federline were in a Los Angeles courtroom Tuesday for a hearing, but the matter was postponed until Sept. 17 while the case's court commissioner considers a request to release certain details to the media.

Alonzo Wickers IV, an attorney representing People magazine and Los Angeles' KNBC-TV, argued that the release of basic pertinent -- not personal -- information concerning child and spousal support would not cause harm to the two boys, Sean Preston and Jayden James.

Federline filed for primary physical custody of the boys less than a week after a judge finalized the Spears-Federline divorce and granted joint custody.
