K-Fed seeks primary custody of boys

LOS ANGELES, Calif., Aug. 9 (UPI) -- Kevin Federline has filed papers in Los Angeles court, seeking to be awarded physical custody of his two sons with ex-wife Britney Spears.

The documents were filed Wednesday by Federline's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, a source told People magazine.

When their divorce was finalized two weeks ago, Spears and Federline agreed to share 50-50 custody of Sean Preston, 22 months, and Jayden James, 10 months. Since then, however, Federline has become concerned that the boys were exposed to "unnecessary risks," the source told People.

In June, when the two were negotiating over their divorce settlement, Federline was resistant to signing the papers over concerns about Spears' behavior.
