LOS ANGELES, Aug. 2 (UPI) -- Sean Stewart, son of rocker Rod Stewart, is being sued for allegedly attacking, beating and torturing a man in front of a Hollywood night spot last year.
In the lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Daniel Refoua charged Stewart and others "attacked, assaulted, battered, punched, beat, hit, struck, tortured and imprisoned" him by illegally restraining, beating and choking him Jan. 5, 2006, outside the Hollywood nightclub LAX, E! News reported Wednesday.
In the suit, Refoua claimed he sustained severe injuries and shock from the alleged attack. The suit does not indicate if Refoua knew Stewart and his unnamed companions or what prompted the incident.
That is the second such criminal suit for the reality TV star, who was also sued in May by Tobalus and Ericka Stein, whom he allegedly struck after he and his friends weren't allowed to enter a house party in West Hollywood. The couple also filed a civil suit.
Stewart son pleaded not guilty in June to two felony counts of assault in the Tobalus matter.
