CRESTLINE, Calif., May 30 (UPI) -- Veteran stage actor Alan Martin, who starred in several rock musicals in West Coast productions, has died in Crestline, Calif., at the age of 62.
Martin played the lead role of Claude in "Hair" at Aquarius Theater in Los Angeles and was Pontius Pilate in a national tour of "Jesus Christ Superstar," Variety reported Wednesday. He also appeared in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" and recently in a West Coast revival of "Footloose 2.0."
He also was a costumer for several theaters' wardrobe departments in the Los Angeles area.
Martin, who died April 22, is survived by his mother and a sister.
