HOLLYWOOD, May 24 (UPI) -- While the fate of her on-screen character hangs by a thread, Hollywood actress Kim Raver off screen is expecting her second child.
The baby is due in the fall, E! News reported Wednesday. She and her husband of six years, French filmmaker Manuel Boyer, have a son, Luke, 4.
In the cliff-hanger "24" season finale, Raver's character, Audrey Raines, was catatonic and received a good-bye kiss from her good-guy boyfriend, Jack Bauer, played by Keifer Sutherland.
She may be a goner in "24," but that doesn't mean she's out. Raver's TV pilot, "Lipstick Jungle," was picked up by NBC as a midseason replacement. Raver plays a career-oriented fashion magazine editor in the latest effort from "Sex and the City" creator Darren Star.
She said her pregnancy would be easier to incorporate into the "Lipstick" storyline than into the season-long day of "24."
"These are women who juggle everything, so why not a kid? It would have been really tricky going from slip to nine months' pregnant in one 24-hour period," said Raver, whose credits also include ABC's " The Nine" and NBC's "Third Watch."
