Ian Ziering dances off 'Dancing' floor

LOS ANGELES, May 16 (UPI) -- Former "Beverly Hills 90210" star Ian Ziering's dance card was tossed off ABC's "Dancing With the Stars," leaving three couples on the Los Angeles dance floor.

Ziering and professional dance partner Cheryl Burke were eliminated by fan voting in Tuesday's competition, USA Today reported Wednesday. Ziering and Burke -- who had taken two celebrities to dancing titles -- earned perfect 10s from the judges in their second dance but apparently didn't wow the voting fans.

Judges' scoring accounts for half of the dancers' scores and viewers account for the other half.

"I never really expected to get this far," said Ziering, who, at 42, was the oldest celebrity still competing. "Honestly, if I hadn't been dancing with Cheryl, I wouldn't have made it to the semifinals."

Ziering's exit leaves Olympic speed skater Apolo Ono, women's boxing champion Laila Ali and former N'Sync singer Joey Fatone competing for the show's fourth-season crown.

The finals will be Tuesday with the winners announced next Wednesday.
