AUSTIN, Texas, May 10 (UPI) -- Officials Thursday announced a 130-act Austin City Limits Music Festival lineup, featuring acts ranging from Bob Dylan and the Indigo Girls to Arctic Monkeys.
Charles Attal of C3 Presents, which books the performers, told the Austin (Texas) American-Statesman that others set to perform include the Arcade Fire, Queens of the Stone Age, the White Stripes, Bjork, the Killers, Wilco, Muse, Amy Winehouse, Bloc Party, Ziggy Marley, Lucinda Williams, Steve Earle, Raul Malo, Kaiser Chiefs, the Decemberists, M.I.A. and LCD Soundsystem.
There will be no mega-bands such as U2 or the Police at the sixth annual music fest, however, and that's the way Attal likes it.
"ACL Fest is not about two huge acts and 128 others," he said. "Our model is for fans to come out to the park and check out all these great acts at a reasonable price."
The festival, which can handle up to 65,000 fans per day, runs Sept. 14-16 at Zilker Park. Three-day wristbands go for $145.
