NEW YORK, May 8 (UPI) -- Even after a five-year gap, Cleveland rappers Bones Thugs-n-Harmony were never worried about whether they'd be back.
The trio has just released "Strength & Loyalty," its first album in five years and its first since leaving its late mentor Eazy-E's Ruthless Records label and parting ways with group member Bizzy Bone.
"It was all about reorganization and getting our structure put together," the group's Layzie Bone (Steven Howse) says of the break.
But Krayzie Bone (Anthony Henderson) says there was no doubt Bones Thugs-n-Harmony would continue.
"The problems we had between us weren't that serious," he says. "Everybody just had their own things they were doing 'cause (the group) wasn't moving at the time. But we were never like, 'It's over. We need to move on.'"
"Strength & Loyalty" is the group's first for producer Swizz Beatz's Full Surface label. Guests on the album include Akon, Mariah Carey, Twista, Bow Wow and gospel singer Yolanda Adams.
