Rush had fun making latest album

TORONTO, May 1 (UPI) -- The Canadian trio Rush has nothing but good things to say about the making of its 18th studio album, "Snakes and Arrows."

"You can argue that we don't have much to prove at this point," said guitarist Alex Lifeson, who founded the band with front man Geddy Lee 40 years ago in Toronto.

"But this was maybe the most fun record I think we've ever made. It just feels different, somehow. It's very positive, very forward, all fresh and new to us for some reason."

"Snakes and Arrows" is Rush's first set of all-new material in five years.

Rush begins a 42-date North American tour June 13 in Atlanta.
