Rockers don't let hit pressure new album

NEW YORK, April 3 (UPI) -- New York rockers Fountains of Wayne are not feeling pressured by success.

The group had a hit in 2004 with the good-humored "Stacy's Mom" but bassist and producer Adam Schlesinger said the quartet didn't think much about that while recording their just-released fifth album, "Traffic and Weather."

"Obviously whenever you're signed to a major label they're hoping you can give them something they're gonna make some money off of," said Schlesinger, who wrote songs for the film "Music and Lyrics," between band albums.

"But we just approached it the same way that we always have, which is trying to write stuff we like. That's really all you can do."

Fountains of Wayne begins touring April 21 and will play at the April 28 Coachella Valley Music aand Arts Festival in Indio, Calif.
