Name change heavenly for rockers

LONDON, April 3 (UPI) -- They were known as Black Sabbath in the early '80s but the Anglo-American heavy metal group now works under the name Heaven and Hell.

The current quartet is the third incarnation of Black Sabbath, with singer Ronnie James Dio, who replaced original frontman Ozzy Osbourne in 1979. The group's first album, in 1980, was called "Heaven and Hell."

"By calling it Heaven and Hell, you know exactly what you're getting," said guitarist Tony Iommi. "There's no, 'Is it really Black Sabbath?' and all that rubbish."

The group, which hasn't been together since 1992, recorded three new songs for the new compilation "Black Sabbath: The Dio Years." It's toured Canada and filmed a projected concert DVD at New York's Radio City Music Hall.

Heaven and Hell hits the road again on April 22 in Phoenix and plans to tour for most of 2007.
