Prince in Smith case sues O'Reilly

LOS ANGELES, March 15 (UPI) -- A man claiming he sired Anna Nicole Smith's daughter filed a defamation suit in Los Angeles against Fox's Bill O'Reilly for allegedly calling him a fraud.

Prince Frederic von Anhalt, who is married to actress Zsa Zsa Gabor, filed the $10 million defamation suit against the conservative commentator, claiming O'Reilly's "false and/or defamatory" words "directly (injured my) reputation in a substantial portion of the community," E! News said Thursday.

A transcript from "The O'Reilly Factor" posted on the Fox News Channel Web site showed O'Reilly said, "Look, this guy's a fraud. We know he's a fraud," regarding van Anhalt's paternity claim, E! News reported.

Von Anhalt claimed he had a 10-year affair with Smith, saying he believed he was the father of 6-month-old Dannielynn. He requested physical and legal custody of the baby if it is determined he is the father.

Two other men also claim to be the child's father. Larry Birkhead, Smith's ex-lover, has filed a paternity suit in California. Howard K. Stern -- who is listed as the father on the child's birth certificate and was Smith's companion at the time she died Feb. 8 -- also claims he is the father.
