Camilla to undergo hysterectomy

LONDON, Feb. 12 (UPI) -- Prince Charles' wife, Camilla, is scheduled to have a hysterectomy, a spokeswoman for the British royals reported Monday.

The Duchess of Cornwall, who celebrates her 60th birthday this year, will have the operation next month and is expected to take six weeks to recover, the Sun said.

A spokeswoman for the duchess said the operation was scheduled "to enable the duchess to accompany the Prince of Wales on an important foreign tour to a number of Gulf states."
