Gillie Da Kid charged for drug possession

PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 9 (UPI) -- Rapper Gillie Da Kid and four others were arrested and charged with conspiracy and possession of narcotics with intent to deliver, Philadelphia police said.

Officers raided two houses and confiscated 89 pounds of marijuana worth an estimated $404,000, AllHipHop.com reported.

Police said they were investigating another house, where officers confiscated $6 million in cocaine in November.

Gillie, born Nasir Fard, was a member of the rap group Major Figgas. He was associated with Cash Money Records, but left the label after a disagreement with Cash Money's chief Bryan "Baby" Williams and rap star Lil' Wayne.
