Gig marks Police's 30th anniversary

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 9 (UPI) -- British rockers The Police, reuniting after 23 years to perform at the Grammy Awards, will play another gig Monday to mark the group's 30th anniversary.

The band is expected to announce details of an upcoming world tour during the invitation-only rehearsal at the Sunset Strip's Whisky A Go Go, NME.com said.

On his Web site, Police front man Sting said a drawing would be conducted among the band's legacy members -- those who have had an unbroken membership since January 2006 -- for the 20 invitations.

The 49th Grammy Awards air Sunday.
