Martha asked for ISS decorating tips

NEW YORK, Feb. 1 (UPI) -- U.S. astronauts Michael Lopez-Alegra and Sunita Williams sought advice from domestic diva Martha Stewart on sprucing up the International Space Station.

"If you have any tips for how we can fix up the place or make some better meals, we'd welcome that," Williams said to Stewart during the "Martha Stewart Show" that aired Thursday. Williams and Lopez-Alegra spoke with Stewart from the orbiting ISS via satellite connection.

Stewart said in a release that she has been fascinated by space travel for a while and experienced weightlessness herself during a "zero gravity" flight in Florida.

When Charles Simonyi joins the astronauts at the ISS in April, Stewart said she "plans to check back in with her high-flying friends."
