BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Jan. 10 (UPI) -- A rumored romantic relationship with U.S. actress Evan Rachel Wood may have been the cause for singer Marilyn Manson's recent divorce, a report said.
People magazine reported that sources close to the alleged couple have claimed that the rocker's involvement with the "Thirteen" actress played an integral role in causing Manson's wife, model Dita Von Teese, to file for divorce on Dec. 29.
"Dita is heartbroken, she didn't see this coming," one source told People. "His partying contributed to the split as well."
The 38-year-old shock rocker and the 19-year-old actress were seen together last Friday at a party in California, where sources claim they were inseparable.
"They were like an old married couple," the source said. "She was always right next to him and so attentive."
"She has been trying to look like Dita, wearing sleek black dresses and hanging out everywhere he's been," another source said of Wood. "It's so obvious what's happening."
Despite ongoing rumors, a representative for Wood informed US Weekly that Manson and Wood are merely friends.
