LOS ANGELES, Jan. 4 (UPI) -- A lawsuit alleging the will of actor Marlon Brando was forged by his executors has been settled in Los Angeles.
The executors agreed to pay $125,000 to Brando's former assistant, Angela Borlaza. She had alleged there was no way the dying actor was able to make an 11th-hour change to the will in 2004 that resulted in her being thrown out of the Los Angeles home Brando had bought for her.
Borlaza agreed in mediation last month to settle her claim against executors Larry Dressler and Mike Medavoy, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Borlaza worked for Brando for 10 years and claimed he had shown her a "code" that would differentiate his genuine signature from a forgery. The signature on the paperwork naming Medavoy and Dressler as executors of his $20 million estate didn't have the code, the newspaper said.
