'Queen' heads gets royal lunch invitation

LONDON, Dec. 18 (UPI) -- The creative team behind the film "The Queen" has received a royal stamp of approval from Queen Elizabeth II of Britain in the form of a lunch invitation.

Robin Janvrin, the queen's private secretary, has invited "Queen" director Stephen Frears and the film's star, actress Helen Mirren, to have lunch at Buckingham Palace sometime in early 2007, Daily Variety reported.

Janvrin, who was portrayed by actor Roger Allam in the film, also invited producer Andy Harries and the film's screenwriter Peter Morgan to attend the lunch date.

The paper said that while inside sources have claimed Queen Elizabeth II had seen and enjoyed the dramatic film, it was unknown whether she would be greeting the film heads as part of the culinary gathering.
